Développement PEK is a not-for-profit corporation created to support the community energy concept developed by Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan (Mashteuiatsh).
Développement PEK brings together a team of experienced, multidisciplinary professionals who effectively support the community of Mashteuiatsh, other Indigenous communities and municipal organizations throughout the various stages of energy projects (hydroelectricity, wind power, solar power, biomass), including acquisition, development, construction and operation.
The name Développement PEK refers to Pekuakami (Lac Saint-Jean).
